Kentucky Theatre: anything but ordinary

The Kentucky Theatre is for Lexingtonians seeking the out of the ordinary, whether it's independent cinema, foreign films, cult classics, thoughtful first-run mainstream releases, live music or a big screen for the University of Kentucky's latest game.

The Kentucky Theatre opened in 1922 as a lavish movie house with marble floors, intricately painted murals, plush carpeting and exquisite décor. These days discriminating movie buffs can catch the best in independent film at the Kentucky Theatre. You can check listings and showtimes online
